Subject: hardwiring headlights??? IP: Logged
Message: Hi my wonderful '98 Dakota with 220,000 miles is falling apart and the most recent problem is the headlight switch. I can't get the headlights to come on. I removed the switch earlier and was wondering if any of you could tell me how to hardwire the headlights and parking lights on? I don't need a switch I can just touch the wires together and tape them. I know its ghetto but I just need it to get accross town tonight. I'll buy a switch tomorrow.
Thanks, Mitch

Message: Nevermind now I am too drunk to drive. I'll deal with it tomorrow. When I get real drunk I kick my Dakota because it is a piece of junk. Granted, there are a TON of miles but damn Chryslers and their slippy transmissions and frail wiring.

Message: Before you comment on me bashing Chryslers let me say that I also have a Grand Cherokee that has...big surprise...electrical and transmission problems. Hmmm...for my next purchase should I buy another make or get the Dakota Quad cab which I really want? I am 25 and have had 11 different cars and trucks and have to say that Chryslers are the only make that has given me this much trouble (I will exclude my old '92 Wrangler 4.0 from that because it was belletproof).
