Message: Most Daks have had a 15-gallon tank standard, and 22-gallon optional. Not sure about 2003.
18-20 mpg is realistic if you don't plant your foot in it. I get 19 in winter, 21 in summer with a 92 Club Cab 4x4 V-6 automatic with cap.

Message: i think the size of the gas tank. kinda depends on the what type of dakota you have (ie RC,CC,QC) i think in my manual it states it on my 03 but dont have my truck right now as its in for service. I want to say the QC has the smaller of the tanks of the three.
