 Subject: flaking paint 2001

Hey Guys, anyone ever experience paint flaking from the edges around your door mirror and around the weather stripping of the driver side window. I have a 2001 4x4 CC. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Why would this happen? Looks minor now but looks scary for the future. Barely noticed it until i looked closly. Its only got 60000km.
