Subject: What's the deal! IP: Logged
Message: Maybe this is not the place to print this, in fact
maybe it should be in "Off Topic" but I know more
users of this site look here the most.
What is the deal with the Spike Channel's
"Power Block" series? They just started their
2005 season less then two months ago, I seen maybe
4 to 6 new shows on all four Power Block shows
the last Saturday 03/19/05 and today, Saturday
03/26/05, they started the 05 season all over
again!
I went to their Web site and asked them what the
heck is going on and never got any reply.
Are we paying BIG dallors a month for cable or
satalite TV to watch re-runs on ALL the channels?
This is 100% nuts!
I'd sure like to hear it from you guys too..
Do you think shelling out our hard earned money
to cable and satalite companys is worth watching
re-runs and ads?
I want to disconnect my satalite but my bride of
40 years says no, so far. Even she doesn't watch
the channels she use to.
Lets hear it guys!

Message: I agree. Spike is getting bad for exactly what you said and I'm really disappointed with SpeedChannel. It's 95% Nascar, don't get me wrong I like Nascar but I got Speed for watching racing we normally can't get here. And they put bobsledding and luge on. What the f@#$ is up with putting that sh&* on?
But getting back to Spike, I find the shows aren't even very educational anymore. Just a bunch of actors selling Jegs, Edelbrock, etc, etc.

Message: DIY bay-bee! Weekend mechanic. I upgraded my dish network package just to get the DIY channel. I watch alot of their shows, besides automobiles I'm into home improvement and woodworking. Basically anything where I can buy new tools is good. :)

Message: I like the Speed channel also hmmm but when Nascar
started their 05 season, seems that's all they
have on the air waves now. Mine you ,I like
Nascar but enough is enough already!
And you're also correct hmmm, those "Power Block"
shows use to be great, now it's re-runs and actors
selling aftermarket parts. Trucks is the one I
like the best but here lately, nothing more than
lift kits that most of us can't aford and other
over priced parts. Oh yea, and the re-runs!
Dan M, no thanks on the DIY. There are enough
home shows now to watch re-runs. I'll bet you a
cup of jo that This Old House Classics are there
to. Correct?
