Im thinking about getting a bed extender for my 2002 Dakota. I found that the ones that fit Dakota also fit other trucks. My question is, does anyone know if the Ford factory hardware for thier bed extenders will work on a Dakota? I see several factory Ford bed extenders with hardware on ebay for a good deal. The ones for the Explorer Sport Trac are the correct size for Dakota but I need to know if the Ford factory hardware will work as well. Thanks

Their is no real hardware with the westin bed extender.
you get 2 clips that mount on the bed wall so the extender basket can rotate back into the bed and 2 straps with clips that inset into the bed tailgate locks. the tailgate locking clips maybe vehicle specfic but I doubt it.
