That BETTER be a "shaker" hood or something.
If it turns out to be FAKE then someone needs a shoe in their a$$!
I HATE fake hood scoops if you can't tell. Especially on a beloved Dak!
The truck DOES look 10 times better though.
Looks good, but roll pans do suck if you get hit or back into something! I'll take a real bumper any day!

At the end of the day this is, from a design standpoint, essentially perfuming a pig.
I really do have a hard time with the 05 Dak design. I took a close look at several in partking lots, etc., and the truck is just disappointing. I own a 2004 and love the design and truck, save the 13.4 miles per gallon that I get with my 4.7/5 speed auto.
If I were to repalce it today, I would probably buy something else.

Well let's put it this way then, I'd sure love to have that sweet smellin' pig!
In all honesty, when I need to replace my '02 QC I'll most probably get one of these. I really don't understand why some Dak owners here seem so hostile towards a fresh re-design. It was time for a change.
Do I like everything every detail about the 05? - no. But's let's face it, it could be worse. It could have a 5 banger as it's high end motor like the Colorado...yuk. If this same truck had a bow tie on the front of it there'd be a lot of S-10 guys creaming in their pants right now.

What is the matter with it? U took a perfectly good truck and turned it into something you would see on the streets. The dakota is fine just the way it is and puttin all that sh-- on it makes it look kinda n@#$%ish if u know what i mean.

Does anyone think like me, that the front end of the new Charger would have been the front end I would have expected on the '05 Dakota? It's not that I like the front end of the Charger, it just looks to me like it's the next evolutionary step of the '97-'04 Dakota's front end. I don't think it belongs on the Charger, personally.
