Subject: what would a good coil do? IP: Logged
Message: what does a good coil improve?
what do they cost?
are they easy to install?
would i see a gain of hp/mpg? how much?
so far the mods i have done to my 2001 dakota slt v6 3.9 auto are a magnaflow hi flow cat, flowmaster 50 delta, k&n drop in air filter, 3923 platinums, borg warner brass cap and rotor, msd 8.5mm super conductor sp wires
any other mod suggestions are welcome. next will probably be a jet stage 1. they claim 13-18 hp gain for a stock v6 but hopefully i will see more with my free flowing exaust.

Message: actually contrary to what the "know it all" others might try to tell you,
1 nothing
2 too much
3 yes
4 nothing
the only thing they might do is increase performance above 6,000 rpm. What is your curent red line? is 6,000 more then it currently is? if and only if your current redline is over 6,000 should you consider such a purchase.

Message: uh - agreed!
Don't waste your money unless you have serious mods...then you would need it.
