Message: What may suck to you, may not suck to someone else. It's personal preference. However, I do give Leer the nod for quality and style. IMHO of course.

Message: I'd go with a baseball style. Comfy, washable, and bill in front to keep the sun out'n yer eyes.

Message: I've had a Snugtop cab-hi shell since 1993. The quality of the fiberglass is outstanding; still no stress cracks. The mounting system is great. It uses 6 "J" hooks with 1/2" bolts, and the rubber boot is built onto the shell, so no separate bed tape is required. The door latch submerges into the window frame for extra security.

Message: Leer is good. Mine has a Continental cap, and I love it, except that it did fade badly in the FL sun (aluminum). But no leaks, looks great.

Message: I have really liked my Century Fiberglass Cap very much. I bought it in 1997 and used it on my red 98 Dakota, then got a MACCO paint job and it is now almond on my 2002 Dakota. If you can get a good buy on a used cap in good condition, you may want to consider getting it painted. Both the paint and the fiberglass are still excellent. The Dodge dealer price to paint it was $600 buckaroos--the MACCO price was $270. I figured it was only a truck cap, what the hell. It came out like new and I have been very happy three years later. It has seen a lot of Connecticut Winters and hot summers at the beach. Good luck, Fishful Thinking

Message: I have a ARE Z series on my 2003 RC bright white. The cap is very nice, The paint match was perfect. But I think the final outcome depends on who installs it, the guys who installed mine did a alright job, but it could have been done better.
