Subject: Short Tonneau Cover IP: Logged
Message: Before putting a cap on my truck, I kept a toolbox on the bed and had shortened my tonneau cover to cover the rest. It looked fine but leaked between the toolbox and the front edge of the tonneau. I'm considering taking my cap off since I prefer the look but want to know if they make a tonneau that'll fit with a tool box and won't leak. I have a '98, ext cab with the 6.5' bed. thanks

Message: do a google search for tonneau covers. when I was
looking for mine, I found several manufacturers who
make what your are looking for, if I remember right. I
just do not remember which manufacturers for sure, but
I think Extang makes one. Good luck

Message: Take a look at Slimline covers - www.slimlinetruckcovers.com - Newton, NC. They make covers with toolboxes incorporated; covers lift from the side to get into the toolbox (either side) as well as from the back (opens from about mid-box). Pricey, but very functional.
