 Subject: my wheel is going to fall off***********

My truck is just sitting outside right now, i need to bring
it to a shop and refuse to drive it until then because i
feel im in danger of getting in a bad accident. There is a
loud popping noise in tytthe left front wheel and now I
noticede other noises with it as well....im 98% positive
its the ball joints....if the wheel falls off how much control
will I have? I am afraid it is about to go. Few questions:
1. Who should I contact (rading some things about
recalls on this latley)
2. Will mods effect my case? It is lowered but not
much......
its a 1997 4x4, aside from the ball joints...I have
replaced my shock bolts on the lower control arm 3
times!! damn this truck just crumbles in the front end

damn man, seems like everyone is to busy asking their own questions to answer someone elses.....there are like 3 posts on this now and everyone is blabbing away about what DC did, im an actual person, a dakota owner just like all of you and you cant help me out? I guess now that im starting to get a little ansy because im afraid of hitting something on the way home today and dieing is going to piss you people off, then leading to a response, maybe a response like "hey why dont you just wait, quit you crying." then someone else will post yelling at that person and so on.....this forum is just like HIGHSCHOOL!! little kids!! DRAMA!! Thanks for nuthing, this board used to be awesome, its just crap now and i feel bad for MARK the admin. he has been here from the start when this place was full of smart techs and nice people, now he has to live with all you people like a vietnam vetran has to live with a wigger wearing his cloathes with all the price tags still on them.

thinking about my last post I just wanted to add:
this forum does get responses sometimes and there is some help but usually for the wrong things. Everytime I post something that could possibly stir up an arguement I get reply's within the first few minutes, everytime I post a realistic question to get a good solid answer on a question it just floats to the bottom of the page.
Whatever, I suck just as much as the rest of you for posting on here, I sound like a 3rd grade girl talking about how she doesnt wanna hang out with sally anyone because she kissed tom on the swing set....w/e life sucks and then you die

If you need to use the vehicle now, have the repairs made at your expense and keep all documentation...there will be reimbursement. If you do NOT need to use the vehicle, wait until you get a notification.
I would recommend to all owners to make sure that DC has your current address. Call the customer service number in your owners manual and have your VIN handy when you call. Verify that they have your current mailing address.

These are all band aids for a greater problem of being screwed on an expensive item. So what if you can go purchase new crap to put on. Shouldnt it have had a realistic lifetime to begin with? It didnt, DC is crap for treating a customer as such, and thats the problem.
I read through these posts and I see rationalization for a crappy product. Ive never been treated as poor as a customer, anywhere. Come on everyone, think, a known weakness is acknowledged for years, and then partial responsibility is taken. Im only going to pay partially for my truck next time and see how that works out. It wont.
Greedy DC(the sound my "new" front end made when new, DUh-Clunk)
