I may have the gist of your question incorrect, but I think you want to know how to have those lights brighter when the lights are on during the day. My '02 has a position on the dimmer that "brightens" the lights you speak of. The bottom is a dimmer, the first click is the "brights" the last is the interior dome and cargo.
