Subject: Where do I get a real service manual?? IP: Logged
Message: Hello all!!
I was wondering if someone could tell me where to go to get a really good service manual for my '02 Dakota RC Sport, 4.7L/5spd/3.92lsd-Atlantic Blue Pearl...
Hotchkis front and rear springs 2/3.5 drop...
Hotchkis Bilsteins...
I am looking at putting some boost to it and I would like to see a factory service manual to see some things better before I dig into it....
Thanks!

Sweet talk your local Dodge dealers parts department into
selling or giving you a manual for your 2002 Dak.
Some dealers will, on ocassion, sell manuals that are just a
couple of years old for around $10.00 - $20.00.
Also check e-bay.

Message: I got one off Ebay for $50 shipped.
I have not only done many of the cheaper mods by referring to the book for info on that item I was replacing but I have also changed my own Evaporator core using the book instructions.
Its like 4" thick.

AUTO MANUALS
FACTORY AUTO MANUALS
Yes, I offer more than just Lubrication and Filtration advice.

Message: Thanks Steve, but neither of them are a good source for current generation trucks. If I was working on a GTO or 'Cuda, then they could probably help out

YOU DA' MAN!!!!
That is exactly what I need!!!!
Thanks so much!!!!
Thanks to all the others who gave tips/advice...
I called my local dealership to ask them about a manual and he said they don't make one (typical answer from a parts counter monkey)... I knew better....
Wow, now I just got to get $110 for the book or $90 for the CD...
Not too bad I guess considering how many levels it is above a Haynes/chiltons manual....
THANX 'GAIN!!!

Message: dont pay $110 for the book - look for one on ebay!
i got mine (official factory issue 3 book set) on ebay for about $50 shipped.
had to watch for a week or so, but personally, i'd rather wait till i found the best price instead of paying 'retail' for something that i am buy to help me save money!
:)
but, just my $.02
