Subject: Pop / Clunk Under Hump? IP: Logged
Message: I have an '04 Dak (2k miles) that has an annoying pop/clunk sound. It sounds like it's under the hump in the floor - possibly underneath the console or something. It happens 1 time when I start moving - and won't happen again until I park it again. It happens a lot if I'm pulling out of a parking spot or backing out of my driveway. I've not been able to replicate it - it's kind of random. Any ideas what it could be? Swaybar or something?

Message: Tranny mount, bring it back to the dealer they'll probably try to cover up the fact that someone forgot to bolt the trans to the crossmember.
Thats my guess anyway.

Message: On earlier daks the problem was a cab mounting bushing which had to be trimmed.
Might be similar, run a search on this sight or under the TSB posting here.

Message: I get the same thing on my 04 CC. It seems to be related to the A/C or recirc mode (Happens about 20 seconds after I turn on the A/C). Maybee a HVAC door slamming open/closed.
