Subject: LED TailLights Legal? IP: Logged
Message: I noticed at our local auto parts store that they had #3157 LED lamp replacement bulbs. My question is, are they legal in Montana or anywhere?

Message: Those LED bulbs are very low load and might cause your flasher to think you have no bulb at all. Make sure your flasher is compatible with that kind of bulb.

Message: Good point. Some of these LEDs have about a 240 ohm or greater load, whereas some taillights may have a hot resistance of 1 ohm or less.
