Subject: Blower resistor connector.

I have pictures, but it doesn't look like I can post them.

I'm looking for an answer as to how to replace the wire/connector that goes from the blower resistor (on the passenger side firewall) down through the firewall to (I'm assuming) the control mechanism on the dash. I'll probably just end up splicing the wires, but I need that plug.

It looks like the end that connects to the resistor caught on fire at some point. Anyway, my medium-high setting won't work and it's really annoying. The actual part that plugs onto the resistor is broken and fried where it connects to two of the prongs.

I went to AutoZone, they said that it's not something they can order. I know if I take it to Dodge, they won't want to order the part for me without them doing it.

Any ideas for part #s, or the exact wording for that part?

The same thing happened to me about 2 years ago. I spliced it together and it works great.

Yeah... but what's the part name / #?

I'd love to splice it, but don't want to go down to Dodge to get the info on what part to buy.

just go to the parts department and tell them you need the blower-motor resistor and the block connector for a xx year blah blah blah. Or if you have some sort of phobia for parts departments, or feel that someone there may attempt to murder you, the go to a scrap yard. This is not a big deal....
