Message: 1966 Dodge pickup (first vehicle)
1965 Chrysler 300
1970 (I think) Plymouth Sattelite
early-70's ex-cop car (don't remember model)
1975 (I think) Chrysler Newport
I got each and every one of these vehicles for under $300, and drove each one of them until they just wouldn't go anymore (average about 1-2 years each). Some ended their lives in demolition derbies. Somewhere in the 80's I also went through a 1973 Firebird, a late 70's Volvo 264, and some kind of little VW wagon. These were all sub-$300 cars, too.
I then drove a $500 1978 Ford LTD all through college. I even lived in it for awhile. That LTD was, by far, the best car I have ever owned. Sorry, Mopar! That car finally died in the desert on a cross-country trip. I traded the husk for the tow into town.
After college, I owned:
1978 Cordoba
1980 or 81 K-car of some kind
1985 (I think) LeBaron convertible
These cars were all total and complete junk. They had unbelievable electrical problems, crappy paint, and just overall extreme poor quality. I wound up selling each one to a junkyard for peanuts. I vowed to never own another Chrysler product.
I then drove a 1987 Volvo wagon for about 5 years. I actually managed to sell that car in running condition!
I then drove my one and only new car--a 1993 Chevy Cavalier convertible--for 10 years until it was so weather-beaten it was an eyesore. I gave it to my down-and-out brother-in-law.
Now I am in a 1993 Dodge Dakota. I have owned it for a couple of weeks now, and I feel that I should have stuck to my vows. It has unbelievable electrical problems, crappy paint, and overall poor quality (should I have been surprised?). And this vehicle was well-maintained! Oh well...it was cheap, it will tow my boat, and I hope it will run for 3-5 years until I can afford a Chevy Silverado. I joined this board to help it live for that 3-5 years.

Message: I just love the Satellite Sebring. My brother's girlfriend in 1975 had a 73 and I couldnt wait to get to drive it. Sadly they broke up before I got my license. Nowadays, I always look longingly at them when I see them at cruz nites.
By the way, in our family, we always had Chryslers (except for a brief period in the 80's - Damn you Toyota!)
Ours was: 1964 Dodge 440 (with a 318 go figure), A 1969 Dodge Polara Station Wagon Land Yacht, a 1969 Chrysler Newport with a honkin 383 in it. That last one became mine for college where I put it in the ground (too old and too costly). Later on, I got a Dodge Colt (I know, I know, its not really a Chrysler). Then I got Hondas, about 4 of them but I made up for it with my 1937 Pontiac (did I say Pontiac? I sold it about a month ago) BUT MY FAVORITE BY FAR IS MY 1998 DAK - love you baby!

Before anyone tries to correct me by claiming Roadrunner should be one word, it was spelled out as two words on the rear panel of the later F-body (Volare style) models. So for you purists, I think Demon and I have both listed our 'runners correctly for their years.
Models listed with the Rallye package have 150 mph speedos, among other goodies.
Corronet 440 is a model also, I'll fess up it didn't actually have a 440 motor; but the Road Runner did (not original, of course)
Lead, follow, or get out of the way
