Subject: start motor problem IP: Logged
Message: I am still having starting problems, at first i think on battery but it was changed, after that all problems seems are gone but now appears again. When I put on "start" I hear a quickly tac-tac-tac-tac but the voltmeter seems not falling down. I thing a problem on field current of the starter, any other idea?

Message: Sounds like the solenoid is bad... its the piece that pushes the starter gear into alignment with the flywheel... time for a new starter... pull hte starter out and get it tested at autozone...they do it for free... even if you dont buy one from them...

the tack-tack-tack noise seem to be the solenoide tring to get it but i can't hear the motor turning on. Some time ago I had a problem with the solenoid on a Izusu car and what I hear was a "zummmmmm" of the electrical motor running on void and actually that time the solenoide was dead.
