Message: Ok folks, I was told that the Mopar oil filter
had some type of valve to keep oil from running
out of it at nigh. Is this true or am I being
gullable?

Message: I wouldnt be concerned with it. Due to the angle of the filter, there should be oil in it no matter what type you buy. I've been using tough guard Frams, and Im still running fine 70,000 miles later.

Message: Their is nothing special about the Mopar oil filter. Any filter that is intended for your application will have the "anti drain back valve."

Message: Sandman is right. Mr Sleepy is partially right. Sorry but I wouldn't use Frams if they were free. That is all I used until I took one apart and compared it to another brand. I was shocked. Even the anti drain back valve is junk.
