Subject: Transgo Jr. ? IP: Logged
Message: I've been saving up for the Transgo kit to install into my 99 Dak 318 CC 4x4 Auto. Recently, I saw some "Jr." kit that claims to fix the known tranny problems.
Are these any good? What's the diff between these kits and the full Transgo kit? I'm looking to make the trans last as long as possible and some crisper shifts, (especially the awful 1-2 shift).
TIA for any info.
Thanks!

Message: I thought i was the only one that had this problem with the way it shifts! I want to do something about this problem also. I have the same truck, and put a 3" body, 33"s, home brew 3" cold air, relocated the IAT sensor, bored my factory TB, and put on a Gibson cat back. Then i reset my PCM when i was done, and it somewhat helped improve the way it shifts, not alot but i noticed a little.

Message: Yep!
I'm decided on modding it from stock, but I'm just not sure which way to go yet; Jr or full.
How's the clearance on those 33's? Did you stick with 10.5" wide or did you go to 12.5"? I'm looking to stick on a 2" BL in the future and rn 33x10.5's. First I want to do the shift kit, then 4.10's, then tires and lift... etc. :-)

Message: I talked to a rep from Summit Racing and he said the Trans-go shift kit is for street or strip, depending on how you set it up. You will need the 3" for the 33"s, it has good clearance but the tires rub on the frame at full turn. I kept my stock rims ( 31' tires ) 15x8? They look good on them.

Message: Thanks for the reply.
I know about the full kit, but I don't know anything about the Jr. kit. I didn't see the Jr. kit forsale in the Summit catalog, but maybe I'll call em up and ask; thanks.
Did you go to 33x12.5 or 33x10.5 tires?
