Message: Front end alignment has always been an issue with Dodge. I've bought 5 brand new Dodge trucks since 1992 and every one of them had to have the front end aligned within the first 5K miles.
I don't worry about it too much. I know when I drive it off the lot that there are 3 things I will have to do to it in the first 5K. 1) Put better tires on 2) Calibrate the guages 3)Align the front end.

Message: Nick, the alignment needing adjusting so soon isn't just a Dodge problem. I bought the wife a loaded Pontiac Montana and had to have the front end aligned and tires changes within the first year.
I'm lowering my Dak with a complete BellTech kit to include sways and will need an alignment anyway. Hopefully that'll take care of the poor factory alignment.
Dealer called Monday and said the Dak was built and was ready to ship, expect it no later than 2 weeks. Patience is hell.

Message: I go offroad quite a lot, plus theres lots of potholes here. But i got a Lifetime alignment from Firestone, its $149.99 for our trucks and is good nationwide for as long as you own the truck. You can take it in as often as you want too. Seems like a decent deal since most places charge at least $50 a pop anyway.

Message: Penrod, I ordered a black V6 3.7 dakota CC with the stampede package and I can't wait for it to come in. Supposed to be shipped this monday and should get it within 2 weeks. I already ordered a belltech 2"/4" drop kit for it and plan on more mods. I am psyched to get it. Let me know how you like your.

Message: Doughrat19, mine was shipped on the 25th of March and should be here this week according to the dealer. On another thread,Turtleman stated that he got his and the BellTech 2/4 is bottoming out on occasion. I've asked him if he changed or cut the bump stops down some. Hopefully he's done neither and that's causing it to bottom out. If he has and it's still BO I'll have to take a closer look at the Hotchkis set up.

Message: Doughrat19, Turtleman said he's is bottoming out on regular bumps in the road with the shorter bump stops installed. He's thinking of going back to the stock hangers and loosing 2". You can see the thread over in "style", look under Stampede something or other.
