Message: Hmmm, why do you ask?
I would guess somewhere between 1 and 2 but it must be variable depending on how fast the converter is spinning (Engine RPM).
If you are doing your own flush, I found I needed 16 quarts of fluid. This is a lot, but to clean out the majority of the old fluid...

Whiplash, I think Steven was saying that DC had now developed the 4th version of ATF to try and fix their transmission problems.
You are correct. Automobile makers want our vehicles to wear out. They don't want the engine tranny and rear ends to last forever. Otherwise they would go bankrupt. Service is BIG BUSINESS and lots of $$$

You can tow as much as 5,000 lbs. with a 92' Dak with a
3.9 V-6.
You would be limited to flat terrain and I advise you to have
brakes on your trailer.
You also may need a load distribution hitch.
Dr. D
p.s.
I also advise anyone who tows to switch over to AMSOIL prior to
doing any heavy towing.

Message: Bill, add a transmission cooler to your truck before towing anything over 2000 lbs. 90% of tranny failures are due to overheating, and the A500 in our trucks is not a strong transmission. Pay $100 now, or 100's later.
