Subject: Need Help 93 Dakota Dies when stopping IP: Logged
Message: Just picked a a 93 Dodge Dakota with 3.9 V6 & 4WD 5 Speed
Idles fine and runs fine
except when I come have to come to a stop Im guessing it has somthing to do with the high vacumm condition created when letting of the gas and pushing in the clutch, but Im not sure what would cause it to die. Any ideas???

Message: Sounds like a tune-up issue. Spray some carb cleaner into the throttle body, and reach inside with a clean rag and swab around. If the plugs are over 30,000 miles, change them. Bosch Platinums will help smooth the idle. Try a bottle of STP injector cleaner (black bottle) in the tank, and maybe 2-3 gallons of 93 octane; and a new PCV valve. Now you're cookin'.
