Message: Sounds like you're out of water. Start checking for leaks. Anything smell funny?
If water level is OK, start looking for a new water pump.

Message: Doubtfull. You may have a leak in the thermostat housing. But it's most likley a disposable part like a heater hose or radiator hose that would be leaking. If you can't find a leak anywhere, and the water level is good, then it's most likely the water pump. Also, consider radiator freezing (depending on where you live). That will cause all the symptoms of a bad pump.
