Subject: 97 4x4 tranny rebuild IP: Logged
Message: I had my tranny rebuilt, has the transgo kit, after the rebuild it kinda searches for 1-2. going 10mph it will shift to 2 then back to 1 then 2, all really fast. ALSO it will not shift under WOT. it just hits the rev limiter and I have to take my foot off for it to shift.
took it back to the tranny shop and they put a different valve body in thinking that it was the problem, but NO. Now they say its becuase of my 33's and 4.56's telling the ECU the wrong info.
if that was true, why didn't it do it before the rebuild?
ideas?
thanks..

Message: well, I reset it to what the manual says and it still will not shift WOT. just bounces off the rev limiter. as long as I dont put it to the floor its ok.

Message: The stock adjustment did not work for me either once i put the transgo kit in so what i did was i took the clip off the TV cable and let the cable slide in a notch, then i would go for a test drive.I kept doing that untill i found the right adjustment and it finnaly shifted into secound gear at the right RPM when i floored it.

I'll try and move the cable forward and see what happens.. really pissing me off.
I could live with the 1-2 thing but no WOT sucks

we'll see what happens.
so the hypertech did not have an option to change the tires size like it was supposed to do(thats why I bought it). I guess I need to buy that speedo calibrator from superlift.. its only money, right?

Message: thanks for the info, moving it 5-6 clicks forward fixed it. I have to move it back mabye 1 because it shifts at 4500 under WOT. I would like that up a little bit more.
