Message: Is it possible to take a 318 V8 out of a 1996 and down dakota, and place it directly into a 1998 dakota with a V6?

Message: The engine will bolt in. As for the PCM, they changed in 1996, and you will need the PCM for a '96 up Dakota V8. It will have to be encoded with your VIN. This the onlw way to have a fully functional truck...instruments, ABS, tranny, etc.
