Subject: warranty question IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2001 quad cab, and I just purchased a brand new in-dash 6-disc changer on E-bay. I am having some problems with this new unit skipping, and I cannot get the E-bay seller to refund or replace it. Since my truck is still under warranty, and since the radio is a dodge radio that is obviously from a 2002+ vehicle, do you think I can get a dealer to replace it as a warranty issue?

Message: If it is not shown as factory equipted or dealer installed, it will be hard to find a dealer to replace it.

Message: you're dreaming dude. there is a reason it is cheaper to buy off ebay...you have no one to take it back to if it doesn't work.
