Message: I'm sure the Tundra is a good little truck but it doesn't do anything for me. It doesn't move me. It has no soul. I like the fact that's it's designed and built in the USofA and like I said, it's probably not a half bad truck. It just doesn't do anything for me.
I really love the way my Dakota looks and I've learned to accept it warts and all.
Nice attempt at starting a flame war though. I'll give you 1 out of 10 for effort and .5 for execution.

Message: Nice wheels! For the rest of it, no thanks.
I'll give my hard earned money to a USA union
and keep it in the USA. The Tundra may be made in
the USA but its profits go back to Japan.
Have a great Day!

Message: For all you that want your tundra, I know aman that has one and at 20,00 miles it sounded like the engine was coming apart.
Now dont get me wrong ive owned the small toyota before and it was a trouble free truck.
I like my dakota and at 20,000 no troubles, checked the ball joints the other day and there fine.
The dakota 4.7 has timing chains and the trundra has belts I dont like belts myself.
I like the looks of the trundra and it is a bigger truck, but i have a dakota and im planning on driving it till the wheels fall off no matter if its next week or 10 years, and as far as money going to japs or germans there isnt one vehicle that you can buy today that doesnt have some foreign content.
any way hope you enjoy the trundra

God bless those who built this great land....

I saw the commercial and it shows a 4.8 Liter V8 ( I think it was).
I'm just curious. I still love my Dak. It's got plenty of soul. And gotta love Chains over Belts!

Message: 5.6, that's right. I was thinking I saw something in the comercial over the 5 liter area, but thought, nah couldn't be!
Holy crap. Nissan waited and finally did it.
I'm still not sold on the PLASTIC looks of the truck itself.
I like what PEARL HARBOR said about the Toyota guys. That's funny.
Just think if Honda figured out how to build a truck. We'd spot even more idiots on the street!
Hmm... that's a scary thought. The words HONDA and TRUCK definitely do NOT go together. Damn. those would be some 40 MPG PLASTIC covered recycled beer can sh*t boxes running all over the road soon to have fart cans and airplane wings strapped onto the tailgate.
YIKES!

Message: I thought the titan had 300 HP 375 ft/lb of torque? I bet the HP is underrated though. Still, I'm impressed NISSAN came out with something full size. I don't think it looks too bad either. American, German, Japanese. I dont' care a long as it has quality and can do what I expect it to do I don't give two sh*ts as to where the company's head office is.

Message: I saw a Titan at my neighborhood Nissan dealer a couple of weeks back - it was a showcase demo, not for sale (but driveable). Very beefy looking truck, a little austere on the inside I thought, but way more substantial than the Tundra. I have trouble imagining it'll really rattle the Big3 (I read initial production run will be only 100K), but pretty impressive for a Japanese truck.
Tundras are okay - too pricey, I think. They have a very good reputation for quality (I have heard), but I'd sooner buy a Ram or F150.
