Where in the US are Dakotas made? Have they always been made in that location? I know they are US because every VIN number I have seen starts with a 1 which means US.

for about 2/3 years, GEN II Dakotas were also made in JEEP'S Toledo Manufacturing Facility, at the same site that the current Liberty is built. My step brother is paint shop foreman at the Liberty facility.
