Subject: tach wiring IP: Logged
Message: i was wondering if anyone has installed an aftermarket tachometer? is this hard to do? how do you wire it?

Message: My friend put one on his truck. I think it is pretty much easy. Just connect One wire to the positive connection on the ignition coil and then another to battery. The tach should come with directions.

Message: Don't all late model Dak's have a factory tach??? or did I miss something???? However Dirty D has it perfect for conventinal single coil systems. Multiple coil systems can be fooled to reading correctly ONLY if the coils feed 4 cyliders each, beyond that ask Bernd he might know.
