hey... my stepfather's Dakota no longer gives voltage to the coil... in other words, when tested w/a multimeter, I am receiving nothing... therefore no fire to the plugs... engine turns strong, no fuses blown, and I'm at the end of my rope here... I read somewhere that there's an Automatic Shutdown Circuit in these Dodges that are ccontrolled via a relay, but can find no part listing for that relay, or even any other relay besides the starter relay (good) and the fuel pump relay (good)... attempts to trace the pos. lead from the coil back have revealed nothing more than the same no voltage... any help would be greatly appreciated... oh... I pulled codes (onoffonoffon), and they come up with 42-Automatic Shutdown trouble, and 53- no synchronization signal detected at distributor... thanx muchly... this site rocks...
