Subject: Good IAT Adjuster Question: IP: Logged
Message: It seems that once you mod your intake and exhaust, especially with intake, TB, Manifold, Cams, Headers, 3" true duals, the setting on your fuel/air ratio would go way lean at the stock settings designed to run with your factory IAT sensor.... this makes the IAT adjuster a very good tool for modded vehicles.
What is a good rule of thumb to follow when considering outside air temp relative to increased flow?
When it's hot should I set the adjuster to a colder (higher resistance) setting, How cold is too cold, what is a good medium.
I got a really good gain from this mod and my truck will now run like it's 30 degrees outside when its really 85 or 90 degrees!!
A cold day to a hot day feels like a loss of 15 or 20 hp depending on how drastic the change!!
