 Subject: 1 Q 1statement

First my prob. My 2000 3.9 CC auto stalls in reverse. If I put it in reverse and hit the go pedal it'll go but when I hit the stop pedal she stalls. It's like she wants to keep running and the revs just go down till she dies. Very annoying and embarrassing from such a good looking truck. I don't want to take it to the dealer until I have a good idea what it is just so I don't get wallet raped. Any help is appreciated.
Now my statement. My brother in law just got a new 03 Toyota Tundra. It's beautiful. Now I know why he snickered when I suggested he get a Dakota. The Toyota 4.7 is a jewel. I'm a died in the wool Dodge guy, it's all I've ever owned but I do feel ripped off now and I'm considering jumping ship next time. I've put up with way too much crap from bad paint to cheap interiors to things that never work properly or just break to really crappy engines (my 3.9).

my 3.9 was doing that when i had it too...but it was a 97...i replaced my plugs, wires, and had my injectors sprayed out and it was fine after that...i dunno if that your problem...but it could be...? and as for the 3.9 being a sh*tty engine...i couldnt agree more...i had so many problems with mine, from injection, to timing chains, to ac dying, to tranny going out, ect...im glad i got an R/T...i love it and the engine...heh...

I'm sure your brother has a nice truck.
I'll put my Quad cab, SLT interior, 4.7L, 5spd manual, trailer towing, tire and handling, etc.etc. up against it anyday. If your in the Houston, TX. area, you should ride in mine, and I think you'd agree.
Compared to your 3.9 auto, I'm sure you're right.
