i have a 93 dakota and i wanna put a set of mirrors i bought on it but i'm not sure how to take the window cranks off, can anybody help me?
i'm not sure if i need a special tool or if i pop off a cover piece that would then reveal the screw that holds it in place. please help, thanks

You don't have to have the special tool, but it sure makes it a lot easier getting the clamp on and off. Go to any auto parts store and they shoudl be able to get you the right tool.

You should go to the parts store and get a window crank removal tool, or you could use a small screw driver and push in on the door panel behind the crank and you can see the clip.

Supercharged, intercooled, bagged and shaved.

hey cruznlo i liked ur window cranks but i can't find any that say they fit my truck. were urs for a different truck but still fit? i would like to get some cuz they are way nicer then the plain stock ones i have now. thanks

k i was just about to go buy the tool when i thought i'd better have one more look at the crank to make sure it had a clamp...well after looking i decided to try and pry the cap off the front and bang it popped off and there was a screw there, i undid the screw and off came the window crank.
