Subject: Turn Signals and Brake light problem IP: Logged
Message: Hello all,
Have a problem with my 02 Dak. Both problems are intermittent. First problem, sometimes when I step on the brakes the driver side brake light will not come on. The other problem is sometimes when I turn on my right turn signal the flashers come on. I have taken it to the dealer twice with the problem and both times they said they could not get it to happen for them, therefor they can not diagnose the problem.
I have already read some posts on this subject, but wanted to see if there were any fresh ideas. I am getting rather irritated with the dealers lack of enthusiasm to fix the problem.
Any info would be great.
Thanks
Steve

Message: Check all of your electrical grounds for good contact. A loose ground can cause all kinds of intermittent, mysterious, electrical malfunctions.

Message: I had a similar problem with my 02 QC and the dealer said it was a defective flasher. Seemed to fix the problem (should probably check my lights again and make sure though).

Message: Had the same problem on my 01 with the 4ways coming on. They replaced the whole turn signal assembly and it was good for a coupla days then started happening again. Replaced the turn signal assembly for the second time and it's been good for 8 months now.
