Message: Just had my '01 4x4 QC 4.7 in the shop for a "creaking" noise in the rear. They are gonna replace the right rear leaf springs. They say they are a rubbing wrong? Whatever as long as the noise gets fixed. Anyone else with this situation? The parts should be in on Fri. or Mon. I'll let you'all know if that cures it.

Message: Howdy! Howdy,
Question. Do you haul around a lot of weight in the back of the truck or go off-roading? I noticed that the metal straps that wrap around the leafs are "spitting out" the rubber around them. Did you have the same problem. I don't use my truck for hauling heavy loads, so I'm curious why these rubbers are falling out.
Thanks

Message: I pull a pop-up camper during camping season with all my camping "stuff" in the truck, but nothing it shouldn't be able to handle. Can't afford the parts and maintenance for 4 wheel'n! I hven't noticed the situation that you mention though.

Message: Well, I picked my ride up today. They seem to have fixed the problem. They replaced the right rear leaf springs. It never made that god awful noise all the way home.(about 30 miles). I hope this is a permanent fix? Only time will tell!!!

Message: I had the same exact problem with a snapping noise in the rear. It took two trips to the dealer to rectify the problem. Both the leaf springs were replaced. It seemed to cure the problem. However, I have not put a lot of weight in it yet. I hope it can withstand some use.

Message: I agree with you Craig. When I go camping and haul the camper is when I'll get my 1st test on it.
