Subject: good system? IP: Logged
Message: I'm not as big of an audio enthusiast as most of you but I do like a little bass as long as it's cheap, not cheap sounding however. I have a system picked out but I wanted to get some opinions. I have the factory Infinity 8 speaker, cd, cassette, radio in a 2001 single cab dodge dakota. The system I have picked out is a pioneer gm-x962 760 w amp which is supposed to have 380 rms power when bridged. My sub will be a Kicker Solo-Baric 8" L7 dual voice coil 2 ohms. Do you think this will work on the factory system without distortion and sound really good and DEEP? Loudness is nice, but not necessary for the car next to me to hear me.
Thanx
Jason

Message: So you want to add an aftermarket amplifier and sub? Will it sound good? yes Will it sound clean? yes Why? cause you have the ability to tune that sub into your factory system (gains, crossover controls). Just keep the gains and crossover points low so it doesn't overpower the rest of the music.
