Message: Any number of things can cause the amp to turn on and off like that. First thing to check would be the ground connection. Make sure it's to a good solid clean bare metal ground like a seat belt bolt or similar area. Ground wire should be as short as possible and no more than 16 to 18 inches long. Make sure the power wire from the battery has a good connection free of corrosion at the battery terminal and fused within 6 inches of the battery terminal. Make sure to use the right gauge power, ground and speaker wires, 8 gauge is probably fine but I don't know the specs on your amp. If those check out OK you may have either a shorted speaker wire or a bad speaker causing the amp to shut off. Check the speakers carefully for the correct impedance with an ohm meter and check all the speaker wires for shorts to ground with the ohm meter set for continuity to ground. If that all checks out OK it may be the amp has an internal problem. You could take it to a good car audio shop and get it bench tested and repaired. Or if it's still got a warranty left take it back where your friend bought it and see if they can warranty exchange or warranty repair it for you. If all else fails, call Kicker. You can get their number on their web site. I called them before and they were pretty cool.

Message: the problem you are speaking of is the same issue i discuss years before. if the amp is turning on and the light goes green and works then shuts off it is normally a impeadance load issue ( the speaker(s) is not compatible with the amp) i a guessing you are drivng Subwoofers or something to that extent and the 352xi is a very small amp for that job. even if the impedance is ok the amp is to small if i remember correctly the 1252xi i have is 125x2 watts in stereo so that would tell me that the 352 is 35x2 watts @ 2 ohms. so in mono i would assume the amp is 70 x1 at 4ohm mono which is very low for a subwoofer. i say get a larger amp D class amps are very much in right now. the amp you have was designed to run a set of speakers in your door or dash not a large driver speaker. and if you have a nice set of componets that amp may not have enough power for that.
