Message: if i bought a 4-ch amp and ran it to my speakers, would it make it sound alot better? i replaced my stock speakers with infinity kappa 652.5i and they sound great under normal volume but they still start getting distorted around upper volume and sometimes i wish they would be louder. would an amp help with this??

Message: I would go for the 80x4 and turn down the amp a little. There will be master gain adjustment on the amp. Then you could put the full 75 watts to the speakers.

Message: well, you can get 2 to 1 rca adapters to go from the (2)outs on your HU to the (4)ins on your amp. now if your amp is like mine it will have (2) line outs that you can use to run to another amp. that should take care of it. the only drawback is you lose the fade feature from the HU but, you can balance that out using the gain control on the amp.

Message: so if i had one amp for my speakers and one amp for my subs, then i would just run rca's from the line out connections on the speakers amp to the line in connections on the subs amp. ok now i see. i would still probly have to run another power wire through the truck. if i did that, do you think the battery would hold up?? the speaker amp would be pushing about 320w RMS and the sub amp would be pushing about 150w RMS. that is if i got the amps i want.
