Subject: Remote wire 4 Amp IP: Logged
Message: I need a power wire for my amp...which wire can I splice into? The amp is under the passenger seat, is there a wire I can splice into on the floorboard? This is just for the remote(on/off) wire, not the positive cable to the battery. Thanks....It's the final wire to connect! Mike

Message: you'll have to connect it to your HU's amp on lead. when i installed my amp the rca cables had a lead built in for this purpose.

Message: I',m using the stock headunit, so no RCA cables....wired to the high inputs on the amp.....I need a power wire for the "remote" terminal on the amp. On aftermarket units it's normally blue.....thanks!

Message: Might be a lot of work, but if you go to the back on your head unit and find out which wire gets power only when with the truck is turned on, that would be the one to use. Probably do not want the amp on all the time, and that is what will happen if you plug into the wrong power source.
