Message: Ok I got basically an all alpine and stock infinity system minus the Rockford amp. I am thinking about going all Alpine and use the amp for the highs and mids. Would this be smart to change out the stock infinitys and if so how much stuff would I need to dyno-mat?

Message: My buddy dynomatted his trunk on his Impreza, and he thinks it was a waste of money. I think it sounds pretty decent. Personally, I dun think you really need to dynomat anything. I didn't do it at all and my truck sounds great. I have some rattles now tho, but that's due to someone hitting my truck in a parking lot. I have the upgraded Infinity system that came with the truck. I just put in 2-10" subs and a new head unit, and it sound f**king awesome. It's all up to whatever you wanna spend.

Message: is there a way to tell if I have the upgraded infinity system, or is that standard in the SLTs?

Message: I have a 2000 Dakota with the upgraded infinity system and I am pretty sure that if you have factory tweeters installed than you have the upgraded infinity system. I am actually getting ready to replace all the speakers on friday because the infinity system is no longer getting it done.

Message: yup...if you have the tweeter holes at the top of your door pannels, then you have the Infinity speakers...I wouldn't call them much of an upgrade though.

Message: KCjoe, are you gonna put the replacements in the exact same mounts? I was looking at if I decide to go with this to shave off the tweeter hole covers and put something in there, that or mount the new tweeters higher.
