 Subject: Subwoofer and box dimension?

OK, after some seat moving and measuring i came up with some dimensions for my sub box for my 99 RC.
The subwoofer is a 10" Infinity Kappa Perfect with a 6" mounting depth. The box dimensions i measured are 20" wide, 12" high, 9" bottom depth, 5" top depth. After calculating the volume it comes out to be 0.618 cu. ft. with 0.75" thick wood, or 0.726 cu. ft. with 0.5" wood. In other words it has enough volume for the sub.
What im wondering is will the sub fit in the box depth wise?? I dont want to build the box and then try to stick the sub in and have it not fit.

Just do a mock up of how the woofer is going to sit in the box. Take 2-12" sticks of wood and place them under the sub where it mounts to the box, then use some blocks under the sticks to get your angle and interior depth. Blocks would be about 4 1/4" and 8 1/4" if you were using 3/4 material. Heck, there are many ways to figure out how it's going to sit in the box. You could even take a peice of cardboard and cut it to the box side dimensions (less the back) and see how it matches up to the woofer.
If there is a vent in the back of the speaker you dont want the vent against the back of the box. I keep the vent at least 1" away from the box, but you might be able to get away with less.
Don't forget about how much volume the sub takes out of the box. If you go with 3/4 material and your sub takes, hmmm lets say .08 cu ft, them your only going to be left with .538 cu ft. Thats pretty skinny for a 10" unless the Infinity will work in .5 cu ft box.
