Message: Be aware of Ohm's law and do not fry your amps....In other words, make sure the resistance of your subs are a perfect match for your amp.
Also, I believe that just that one 2000 watt (rms? probably not, most like 800-1000 rms) amp could push both subs with more power than you need.

Message: I have a question, if i hook up 2 alpine MRV-T501(real old school) 300 watt RMS at 4 ohms stable amps, to one 4 ohm kicker compvx 12" sub, can i just run both amps to it on the exact same settings or will i have to buy one new amp.
How does Ohms Law work?

Message: Ya I see what you're saying about combining the power from two different amps into one channel.....but ya I dunno, never seen it. I believe it would not be a wise choice, because if one amp was slighty out of phase with the other, youd kill the power output and clarity of the sub. (If it was completely out of phase, then you would get no sound at all! Ex: Sound cancellation technology).
Ohm's Law is V=I*R, which means the voltage is equal to Current times resistance. So when the resistance is lowered, and the Voltage is held constant, the current is increased. Too much current will fry your amp.
