Subject: Rear Speaker Installation ? IP: Logged
Message: Looking to install speakers in the rear of my 2000 Dakota Club Cab. Not sure how to remove the panels without snapping the clips . Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning on installing a pair of Infinity Kappa 652.5i . I believe they will fit. Already have a pair of Boston Acoustics up front. Thanx in advance for any help given. Rusto........

Message: your in luck i just finished mine the other day. i put 6x9's i had laying around in there with a little massaging (read beating the fuk out of it with a hammer!!!) any ways, get a torx t-47 bit and take out the seat belt bolt, then pull back the panel going length wise across the back of the cab it's only on with spring clips. there are two screws holding the rear side panel on, take these out and lift up on the whole panel. there are two plastic things that aren't clips but have to be pulled up to get out then just unbolt the speaker. oh yea the panel will still be connected to the truck because of the seat belt hope this helps any more questions throw them my way i work at a stereo shop so nothing in my stereo is factory anymore!!!
