Message: For all u quad cab owners out there wanting some good quality bass in your rig, but dont want to sacrifice your rear seat folding capability, but will give up the center console option listen up. I did and it was well worth it. Costed 75$ in materials and price of speaker JL audio recommended. Audio shops are charging 350 to 500$ depending on custom finish work for this not including speaker. Very nice carpeted ported enclosure built to spec for 1 ten inch JL sub. Fits between front seats from cup holder back to rear seats perfectly, for a single ten it puts out alot of bass, fires down in rear and ported out front towards dash. Can email pics if interested also possibly will build one if u are in the area for reasonable price. Im located in Seattle, Wa.

Message: i thought about that idea but i would go insane with the subs right under my arm rest. my idea is to get another 40 seat for the back seat and take out the 60 bench and butld a box between em. that away i can save my center console to store beer.

I guess they aren't actually reading your question. Unfortunately, I'm not the one who can answer how to post them on this board. Perhaps one of the more "senior" guys will pick up on it. I know the guys in the off road / raised boards do it all the time. How about it Knobby, you out there???

Message: The Kicker Solos really kick ass compared to a convential round speaker. They also make better use of the surface area since they are square. I'm not knocking other manufacturers, but I'm not sure that you could get a better sounding sub in a .33cuft box.
The box is entirely .75" MDF. It is screwed to the floor of the truck internally. The box leaves enough room in the console to access the power outlet. There is enough room for approximately 10 CDS in their cases. I still have to build a grille to cover the cone, when I get off my lazy ass.
I have a Hifonics Z440 with the two rear channels bridged pushing approximately 220w @4ohms. It's a 2ohm DVC sub wired in series. The other two channels on the Z440 run the rear Infinity Perfect components 60w @ 4ohms. A Z400 runs the front Perfect components 100w @ 4ohms. The amps are mounted behind the seats on the back wall.

Message: DAMN Spaghets that almost the exact same system I'm building!!!!
The only difference is I'm not going to cut into my console, I'm just building the box to go behind the console and firing the sub at the floor (slot loaded). It's the same SUB and same AMP too AMAZING! but I'm going with Infinity Reference components up front and co-axials in the back.
I'm really intrested in how it performs and it sounds to you. I'm a little worried the Z440 might be slightly underpowering the whole set-up but not sure.
If possible email me at john_mooreii@excite.com because I'd love to get your comments since are set-ups are the same. THANKS! Did you get your amp in the same way I did? See pictures at:
